Kenneth Moton-Guest Speaker

Mr. Moton was a guest speaker in class Wednesday, March 22, 2006. He was imformative on how we should take our careers to the next level and to not to settle for less. He was a graduate from USC and now works for News 14. Before graduating he had plenty of jobs to help in his expenses. To be only 23-years-old he has accomplished alot and thats a good thing. This makes me feel good to know that I can do just as much as he had did before I graduate.

Waiting in the Wings Country Music......

Waiting in the Wings is as documentary about African-American artist who sing county music and how they are stereotyped somes because it's not usal for a African-Americans to sing this genre of music. From observing this documentary it should not matter who sings what. It's music regardless of race or creed. Be yourself!! It might be odd but it's ok people have been doing for years, Ray Charles, Charlie Pride, etc,.... If you are talented at what you are people will accept what it is that you do. Some of the new artist that are breaking into the country genre barrier now are Kimberly Locke,Vicki Vann and Trini Triggs.

Emily D. Gunter- Guest Speaker

The speaker Emily D. Gunter was very interesting she demonstrated how as a whole we are connected and the ways we sometimes fail to connect with each other. She did example with people in class. She brought people in front of class and told them to hold their arms up and she forced them to come down then she told them to leave the classroom and told those who stayed in class to say negatives things in their minds when they came back into the classroom, once they entered the classroom again when she tired to force their hands down it went down easily because of the negative energy that went on in the room. Negative energy can have an effect on you and the eothers around you and it's not go have because it can come back to you.
She was a very interesting speaker and I would have love to heard more of what she had to say and wasn't boring at all, very informative and I could tell she enjoyed what she does.
